February Called... It Wants You to Pull Up.

Hey Elevate Fam,
Hey Elevate Fam,
February is already moving fast, and our calendar is officially doing the most. As we head into a new month, we’re feeling extra grateful for the community we’re building and the way you continue to show up, support one another, and make Elevate what it is. Whether you’ve been to one event or a dozen, we’re so glad you’re here.
Over the next few weeks, we’ve got a little bit of everything coming up. A happy hour to unwind and catch up, a social hour to meet new faces without the awkward pressure, a food distribution to give back in a meaningful way, and of course, game night, because community should be fun too. Some of these events are right around the corner and others are coming up soon, but all of them are built around the same goal: creating space to connect, support, and have a damn good time doing it.
Monthly Food Distribution Volunteering!
✨ Start your Saturday with purpose! Join Elevate Diversity and The Just One Project every month in 2026 for a morning of community service, impact, and connection. We’ll be helping unload food pallets and distribute food to local families in need.💛
Why Volunteer With Us?
Volunteering is a natural, low-pressure way to meet people. Working toward a shared goal helps connections form easily. You’re always welcome to come alone.

Happy Black History Month! Celebrating the Legacy, Power, and Promise
Honoring the past. Protecting the present. Fighting for the future.
Every February, we recognize Black History Month as more than a celebration. It is a reminder. A reminder of the brilliance, resilience, creativity, and resistance that Black Americans have carried through centuries of exclusion, erasure, and injustice.
Black History Month began in 1926 as Negro History Week, created by historian Carter G. Woodson because Black contributions were being ignored or deliberately written out of history books. It expanded into a full month during the civil rights movement and was officially recognized in 1976. The reason it exists is simple and uncomfortable: Black history was never freely given space in this country. It had to be demanded.
And here we are, nearly a century later, still fighting for that space.
In today’s political climate, celebrating Black history feels especially urgent. We are watching an administration that continues to downplay racism, roll back civil rights protections, attack diversity initiatives, and silence conversations about systemic inequality. Books are being banned. History is being “reframed.” Education about race is being labeled as dangerous or divisive. Black voices are being dismissed, minimized, or outright erased in the name of “unity.”
Let’s be clear: silencing Black voices does not create unity. It creates ignorance. It creates harm.
Black History Month is not about the past alone. It is about recognizing that the fight for equity did not end with the civil rights movement and it certainly did not end because politicians are uncomfortable with the truth. Honoring Black history means standing up when those stories are threatened, amplifying voices that are being pushed aside, and refusing to let progress be reversed quietly.
At Elevate Diversity, we believe that inclusion is not optional, diversity is not a buzzword, and history should never be censored to make power feel more comfortable. This month, we celebrate Black joy, Black excellence, Black leadership, and Black resistance. Not politely. Not quietly. And not just in February.
