Elevate Diversity July Newsletter!

Building community, one connection at a time — your people are waiting

Hey Elevate Fam,

July is HERE and summer is in full swing ☀️! But for many families with school-aged kids, the countdown to a new school year is already ticking—and with it comes real pressure. For too many in our city, back-to-school doesn’t just mean new beginnings, it means hard choices about what supplies they can afford.

This month, we’re partnering with Communities In Schools of Southern Nevada to support their ‘Fill the Bus’ School Supply Drive! 🎒✨ We’re coming together to make sure students in our community head into the new school year feeling prepared, supported, and ready to thrive.

1 in 3 kids in the U.S. don’t have the basic school supplies they need. No notebooks. No pencils. Sometimes, not even a backpack. It’s a quiet challenge too many families face and it makes a huge difference in a student’s ability to learn with confidence.

This is where we step in. Whether you donate a pack of markers or a whole backpack full of essentials, your contribution goes directly to local students who need it most. 💛 Let’s use the power of community to lift each other up one folder, crayon box, and glue stick at a time.

Attend the annual ‘Fill the Bus’ School Supply Drive on July 24th at Sams Club (215 & S Rainbow Blvd) from 6 am - 3pm or NV Energy (6226 W. Sahara Ave) from 10 am - 3pm.

You can also drop off supplies at any Elevate event this month. Posted below is the list of priority school supplies needed. Let’s rally together and help every student feel ready to take on the school year. ✏️📦🙌

Let’s keep showing up... for our city, for our neighbors, and for the community we believe in. 🧡

Much love,

The Elevate Team

🌟 Mid-Year Reminder: Your People Are Out There And We're Here to Help You Find Them

As we move into the second half of the year, it’s a good time to pause and reflect: How connected do you feel right now?

In the day-to-day grind, it’s easy to feel like something’s missing; like you're craving deeper friendships, more meaningful conversations, or just a space where you can truly be yourself. If you’ve been feeling that small nudge for more connection, you’re not alone. A lot of us are in the same boat.

The truth? Making friends as an adult can feel awkward, slow, or even intimidating. But it doesn’t have to stay that way. Building real community starts with small, intentional steps and we’re here to help with that. 💛

At Elevate Diversity, every event is designed to be a space where connection isn’t just possible, it’s encouraged. Whether you come to an industry night, a game night, a happy hour, or a volunteer event, you’ll find real people showing up just like you: looking to connect, learn, and grow.

Here’s how our events help you build your community:
✨ You’ll meet others who value intentional, inclusive connection
💬 We create space for real conversation, not just surface level small talk
🧡 The vibe is warm, welcoming, and never cliquey! You get to come as you are
🎯 Over time, those small moments turn into real relationships

But beyond just our events, connection is everywhere if you’re willing to take small risks:

  • Say yes to that invitation, even if you’re not sure who’ll be there

  • Start the conversation in line at a coffee shop, at the gym, in your building

  • Join a local group that aligns with something you care about (not just what’s convenient)

  • Follow up with someone you vibed with and send that “hey, want to grab coffee sometime?” text

  • Be the inviter and host something small, and open the door for others to connect

It’s not always easy. It takes a little courage, some patience, and a willingness to try again. But it’s worth it. Because life feels better when you’re doing it laughing, learning, processing, belonging with friends.

So whether you’ve been to every event this year or you’re still deciding if this is your kind of space, just know: we see you, we’re glad you’re here, and there’s room for you.

Let this be the month you take a step into something new, into community, and into connection.

Your people are out there. Let’s go find them together! 💫

GOT YA! See you next month!
