Food Insecurity & Support

Understand what’s happening in our community and how you can step in to support and make a difference.

A Special Message From Elevate Diversity

Hey Elevate fam,

This isn’t our usual newsletter, but it felt important that we take a moment to share this with you. We wanted to speak directly to you about an issue that is deeply impacting our neighbors and families across our area. Food insecurity is not just a statistic; it is a daily reality for people who are unsure where their next meal will come from. We believe it is essential to be transparent, engaged, and proactive in the face of this growing challenge.

As an organization rooted in equity, inclusion, and care, we feel a strong responsibility to uplift those who are being affected the most. This message is both an update and an invitation, an opportunity to come together and take meaningful action for the people who need it most.

What’s Happening in our Community Right Now?

Food insecurity continues to rise across our community as more families struggle to keep up with increasing grocery costs, housing expenses, and limited access to stable resources. Recent changes and uncertainty around federal funding for food assistance programs, including adjustments to SNAP benefits and school meal support, have made it harder for many households to rely on consistent aid. These shifts have placed greater strain on local food banks and nonprofit organizations, who are working tirelessly to meet the growing demand.

Working parents, seniors, and children are feeling the effects most acutely, with more individuals turning to emergency food services than ever before. As policy decisions evolve and resources fluctuate, our community faces an urgent need to step up, support one another, and ensure that vulnerable families are not left without access to basic nourishment.

Our Partnership with The Just One Project

Elevate Diversity is proud to work alongside The Just One Project in our fight against food insecurity. Their dedication to providing dignified, accessible food support aligns closely with our mission to serve and empower the community. Through this partnership, we participate in monthly food distributions that directly provide groceries to individuals and families who need them most.

These distributions are not just about food; they are about dignity, connection, and restoring a sense of stability for those facing hardship. Our ongoing collaboration reflects a shared vision of care, trust, and long-term impact. We are committed to continuing and expanding this partnership as we work together to support our community in meaningful ways
